GC Valves is updating our part numbering nomenclature to reflect the coil class insulation being supplied. To remain UL compliant, we are required to show this insulation class change in our nomenclature by changing the “F” and “N” insulation class identifiers to “H.” As of 10/1/2025, our nomenclature reflects this change.
Why this is changing?
In recent years, we have supplied “N” class coils while our part numbers continued to show “F” class nomenclature for general purpose valves and “N” for CFA Series valves. “N” class insulation is no longer available, which has required us to move to a Class “H” insulation system.
What’s changing in the part number?
The 6th character in the part number for general purpose valves and 7th character for NSF Approved & CFA Series valves will change to “H.”
Examples:
- S211GF02N5DG4 will be replaced by S211GH02N5DG4
- NS711YF16C9FG9 will be replaced by NS711YH16C9FG9
- SC911YN24VFBA5 will be replaced by SC911YH24VFBA5
What’s not changing?
Valve performance will be identical to what you have used in the past.
Insulation class temperature ratings (for reference)
- F Class: 155°C (311°F)
- H Class: 180°C (356°F)
- N Class: 200°C (392°F)
If you see part numbers updated from “F” or “N” to “H” on your order, this is expected and correct.
